On February 14, 2023 I participated at the contest “Master-Ais of Chianti Classico”; it was the third edition to declare the “best sommelier of Chianti Classico”. After passing the written test and the semifinal test on the stage, I won the contest and got the honored recognition.
In the same contest I was also assigned the prize of “Best Communicator of Chianti Classico” by a jury of wine producers. I am very joyful and proud of this. In fact, for over 10 years I have been driving the roads of Chianti Classico to visit wineries, taste their wines and accompany wine lovers from all over the world to discover this wonderful wine region.
Chianti Classico wine is actually the most familiar wine to me, for several reasons: it is made close to where I was born and have lived so far, its average quality is height, it is available in plenty of styles, it is food friendly, it is affordable … and it is delicious.
