Modern wines and Super Tuscan wines are the focus here and I will let you enjoy some of the best of them.
Vineyard was not the main crop on the coast of Tuscany until some new and original wines were made in the Seventies. Since then everything has changed: new wineries were launched and old wineries turned their wine making into a modern one.
The Coast in the provinces of Pisa and Livorno has become a place of innovation where new, successful modern wines have been produced. Supertuscans are the wine produced here, with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Viognier, Vermentino …. and so on and on and on.
FULL DAY TOUR OF THE TUSCAN COAST
- I will introduce you to the modern history of the area and the wines’ style.
- You will visit places and meaningful wineries.
- You will make wine tasting at least at 2 different wineries.
- You can have lunch at a restaurant or trattoria according to your wish, enjoying local food.
- You can buy wines, ship them home, and I can advise on good deals or relevant labels.
- I will guide you during the whole tour answering all your questions
